Application to the Cantilever Beam Cross-Section Optimization

In this project, the efficiency of OPV devices was improved through new manufacturing processes using multilayer architectures based on the active layer P3HT:PCBM using semiregular polymeric structures and using Bi:Sn alloys.

The formulation and corresponding solving method for the optimization are proposed. In formulating the optimization problem, the minimum averaged compliance such as stress and deflection of the beam is taken as objective, and the material properties of the element are used as design variable.

Requirements:

  • Construction of an appropriate model
  • Once the model has been formulated, an optimization algorithm can be used to find its solution
