Design of an Agricutural Muti Rotor Aircraft

The project consist in the design of an agricultural multi-rotor aircraft. An irrigation method is proposed according to the required specifications, and the components of the sprinkler system and the quadcopter in + configuration that has to perform said task are designed and modeled.

Subsequently, the equations for the multi-rotor irrigation and flight system are modeled, and a control system is designed in MATLAB. PID controllers are used for the control system and are adjusted until the system is capable of controlling the UAV position considering the constant mass loss of the sprinkler system.

Requirements:

  • Capacity to fumigate 5 hectares
  • Control proposal for the position of the multi-rotor and the sprinkler system
  • Create a CAD design with the list of all the electrical components
  • Simulate the dynamics of the aircraft and its sprinkler system using MATLAB & Simulink
